Cashmere fibre comes from cashmere goats. Only the fibres that grow on the underside of the goat can make cashmere. The goat grows soft downy cashmere fibres for warmth only in the coldest of winters (-30°C / -22°F) and it naturally sheds them in Spring when temperatures are much warmer.
